On April 28-29, 2021, at A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IEE RAS) the Conference with international participation «Environmental problems, biological resources and fisheries in the Volga-Caspian basin» is held in offline and online format.
The conference is dedicated to topical issues of research and monitoring activities in ecology and fisheries, conservation and sustainable development of the ecosystem during the operation of inland waterways, hydraulic structures, the development of shipping and fishing in the Volga-Caspian basin.
Heads and representatives of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport, as well as heads of scientific institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are planning to take part in the conference. The heads and representatives of state authorities, scientific institutions, public organizations and enterprises of the Astrakhan, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Moscow and Tverskaya regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan and other subjects of the Volga-Caspian region confirmed their participation in the conference.

Co-organizers of the round table «International cooperation in the development of ecological tourism and education: proposals and exchange of experience», which will be held within the framework of the conference are the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism and the Department of Physical Geography of the World and Geoecology of the Geographical Faculty of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (Russia, Moscow). An online broadcast of the round table from the Moscow State University is provided.
