Fish Protection Campaign: 7 Caspian Seals Rescued!

During Bekire-2023 Fish Protection Campaign, held from April 1 to May 31, the Departments of Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atyrau and Mangistau regions detained 81 violators of fishing regimes and rules, seized 152,550 meters of poaching nets and 6,650 meters of hook gear.

7 seals (with a total weight of 141 kg), 348 sturgeon fish (2175 kg) and 14722 fish of other species (9984 kg) were released into the natural habitat. In addition, 32 fish of sturgeon species and 1742 fish of other species were found in caches.
