Scientific and Educational Film “Caspian Seal”

The Caspian Sea is the largest closed lake on Earth extending over two parts of the world – Asia and Europe. It has a unique ecosystem, being home to over four hundred endemic species. The Caspian seal is one of such endemics and the only representative of aquatic mammals in the Caspian Sea. It is at the top of a trophic pyramid, and therefore the stable status of its population is an indicator of well-being of the entire marine ecosystem.
