Caspian Environmental Forum in Volgograd
On April 18-19, 2018, Caspian Environmental Forum devoted to the problems of the largest lake in the world takes place in Volgograd (Russia). The international event is organised by Volgograd-Ecopress Information Center under the support of A.M. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Foundation. Representatives from non-governmental ecological organisations, specialists from scientific and environmental institutions, and authorities from Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will participate in the forum.
The delegates of the Caspian countries will discuss issues on international cooperation in the field of monitoring of environment and biodiversity conservation, the challenges for safe extraction and transportation of hydrocarbons, as well as ways how to protect the Caspian Sea from contamination with industrial waste and domestic sewage.
