Monument to the Caspian Seal

In Kazakhstan, on the seafront of Aktau, a monument to the Caspian seal has been erected, symbolizing a protest against a soulless attitude towards nature and this only marine mammal of the Caspian Sea. In the summer of 2020, a disgusting incident occurred on the beach in the Mangistau Region – two seal pups were injured: one was thrown with stones, the other was beaten to death with sticks.

According to the Aktau Akimat, the monument was created by the team of Master Mind Company using sponsorship funds. The sculpture is made of many metal plates polished to a mirror state, reflecting what is happening around it.
