More than 70 Caspian seal furs were confiscated

More than 70 furs of the Caspian seal and 250 kilos of sturgeon species were confiscated by employees of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service in Dagestan during fish conservation measures in the Caspian Sea waters – was said to Dagestanskaya Pravda in the Press Service of the Border Department. “During the fish protection measures in the water area of the Caspian Sea, employees of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan detained a small vessel of Baida type carrying  three Russian citizens on board. When inspecting the boat, more than 70 furs of the Caspian seal and 10 sturgeon fishes were found, weighing about 250 kilograms”, is said in a report. For the violation of rules regulating the implementation of fishing, protocols on administrative offenses have been drawn up against detained citizens, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved with respect to the owner of the vessel.
